Albums vs Signature Books

Albums are the more high end and luxurious of the two. Albums are meant to last a lifetime and be passed down through the generations. With an album you can choose from several types of paper including metallic with linen texture, classic felt press paper, silk photographic, and Fuji Deep Matte.  There are several options available for the cover including leather, velvet, linen, or suede. You can also upgrade to an image cover, cameo, acrylic, wood, or metal and add on a customized wooden box to store your lovely keepsake!

Signature books are a high quality, affordable option for displaying your engagement photos. They are lovely books to display at your wedding reception, use as a guest book, keep on your desk or coffee table to share with family, friends, and coworkers. Paper options include plain paper or pearl paper which gives your photos a shimmery, almost metallic appearance. Cover options include linen or faux leather or upgrade and have your favorite image printed on the cover! Signature books include metallic stamping on the cover which you can use to print your names, wedding date or the date you got engaged. Choose from gold, silver, black, copper.

Album and Book Design Process:

• Decide on an album or book and pick a size and number of pages.
• Go through your gallery and favorite 20-40 images you’d like to include in your album or book
• Choose 10 images you’d like featured as full page images or spread over 2 pages. Email featured image file names to info@katiedougphotography.com
• I design your album or book and email you a pdf proof to approve or suggest edits. We can do up to 3 revisions on your book or album for free, after that there is a small fee for each additional revision. Edits/revisions can be done/discussed via email, phone call or zoom call.
• Once you’ve approved the proof, choose a paper type, cover option and personalize with your names and wedding/engagement date.
• I will send you a PayPal invoice for the total cost. Once payment is received, I submit your album or book design to the lab for printing! Turn around time is 1-3 days and your book or album will ship directly to you from the lab via Fedex overnight shipping!
